Our Design Process

Initial Consultation

Our design process starts with a complimentary consultation, held virtually, on-site, or at our showroom. During this meeting, we assess your project's scope and discuss your specific requirements. We encourage you to share your ideas, preferences, and goals for both the aesthetics and functionality of your space. 

In this consultation, we define project scope, timeline, and budget, and assess feasibility. We also discuss coordinating with other trades like contractors, architects, and interior designers for seamless integration. For contracting services such as demolition, plumbing, and electrical work, we can recommend reliable contractors unless you have your own contractor.

To proceed with the next step in our design process, a design fee is required. Your designer will review what the fee covers, based on the specific requirements of your project.

Presentation Meeting

This meeting is typically scheduled to take place 2-3 weeks after the initial design consultation. Our designers use a 3D rendering software to create several design options that allow you to see your space from any vantage point.

 

During this meeting, we will go over everything from space layout and door styles to the initial estimate and logistics. No detail is too small for consideration, and our work together is not finished until we both agree the final design is exactly what you hoped for. In the case of larger projects with several spaces to consider, we may need to meet several times to land on the final design.

Revisions & Estimates

You will be introduced to the estimate for the cost of the cabinetry, countertops, hardware, delivery, and installation during the presentation meeting. Depending on the changes and the final decisions made during this meeting, our designers will update the estimate accordingly and send you a revised estimate and set of plans for your final approval.

After the final estimate is signed off on, any changes to the design that affect the cost will be treated as a change order and will be billed separately. 

Designer Comparing Samples

Ordering & Tracking

At this stage, we begin ordering all materials required for your project. We work closely with our manufacturers and other trade partners to ensure that all designs and specifications align with your project's custom requirements. We then track and schedule all necessary components, coordinating with your contractor and our installers for a seamless installation process. Our team will conduct regular job site visits and maintain close communication with all involved trades. 

Throughout this phase, our team remains dedicated to keeping you updated on the project's progress. Should you require additional updates, please don't hesitate to inform us. We are flexible and can keep you as informed or as distanced from the details as you prefer, as each client's preference varies.

Installation
 

As we near the install date, your designer will coordinate with your contractor to arrange for the delivery of cabinetry to a designated area at the job site before the scheduled installation. We kindly request that the space be fully prepared for cabinet installation by the scheduled date. Any disruptions leading to rescheduling by our installers could result in delays to the project's completion. We will keep you informed of all timelines throughout the project duration.

After installation, we will compile a list of any warranty items required and proceed to order these parts promptly. Warranty items may include parts damaged during shipping, additional materials needed, or on-site changes. Typically, warranty items take a few weeks to receive and install.

Completion & Walkthrough

We spend time placing the finishing touches on your new space, answer questions and ensure that you are completely satisfied. We will walk through your space with you and create the final punch list. Our project manager will schedule a convenient time to finish any remaining warranty work and our design team will stay on your project until completion.
